Theodore Parker, (born Aug , Lexington, Massachusetts, U.S.—died , Florence, Italy), American Unitarian theologian, pastor, scholar, and social reformer who was active in the antislavery gically, he repudiated much traditional Christian dogma, putting in its place an intuitive knowledge of God derived from man’s experience of nature and insight into. God has made man with the instinctive love of justice in him, which gradually gets developed in the world. But in Himself justice is infinite.
Parker was active in reform movements, particularly the antislavery cause. He wrote abolitionist tracts and participated in the rescue of fugitive slaves.
